Introduction: 

You have been given the chance to take an exciting virtual journey through a region of our great country!. Each region of the United States has its own special features and is unique in its own way.   As you travel from region to region you will work in groups to collect information that will help you to make a an informative presentation for your class.

Task:

Using the Internet, library, and any other resources you will research a region of the United States.  You won't be traveling alone but with a team!  You and the members of your group will become experts on the region that you visit and present the information that you learned using PowerPoint.

Process:
Assignment One:

1)You will be placed in a group of 3-4 students and assigned one of these seven regions:

New England Region Mid Atlantic Region Midwest and Great Plains
Southeast Region Southwest Region Mountain West
Pacific West    

2) Decide in your group who will be:

2) Open PowerPoint and choose a background. As a group come up with a catchy phrase/slogan for the title of your PowerPoint presentation. That slogan will be your title slide.  Don't forget to add your names and a graphic. For some examples look at these sights.  Can you guess their advertising slogan?
