EL PROYECTO

Welcome Back! The whole school is eager to learn about your Spanish trip. To share what you have learned, you will create a PowerPoint Presentation. You must have at least 10 slides and discuss what you enjoyed most about your stay.

INSTRUCCIONES

1. Locate your country online.  You may use the following resources to get started:

2. Create your slides. You must have  10 slides.  Remember you are using your Power Point slides like note cards.  Don't type complete sentences.  When you make your presentation you'll need to know that "detailed information" to make your presentation interesting! 

Here are a the  slide title:
Slide One: Title Slide. Put the name of your country, a picture and your name.
Slide Two: Fast Facts: Official Name, President/Leader, Type of Governmante, Capital, Monetary Unit, Have a map of the country.
Slide Three: Your Country's Flag: have a picture of the flag and what the colors and emblem represent (Hint look at Flag Facts or World Atlas Flags)
Slide Four: Geography:  Countries that border your country, Area, Any special mountains or landforms (picture of your country) (Infoplease is a good one for this)
Slide Five: Brief History (historical picture) (Infoplease is a good one for this) Have about 4-5 important events.
Slide Six: Economy (Money picture) What is the country's industries? What is your countries natural resources? What do they export? (Infoplease is a good one for this) Have about 4-5 important things.
Slide Seven: Places to See: Tourist attractions and places of interest (picture of a place to see in your country) (Hint: look at lonely planet and click see) Have about 3-4 important places to see.
Slide Eight: Foods to Eat: Native foods and dishes (picture of a native dish) (Hint: search in Google for "Foods of your country name) Have about 3-4 important foods.
Slide Nine: Celebrations and festivities (picture of celebration) (Hint: search in Google for "name of your country and holidays") Have about 3-4 important holidays, celebrations, traditions, or festivities.
Slide Ten (Your final slide): Spanish Phrases.  Find out how to say these common Spanish phrases: Until tomorrow, Can I go to the bathroom?, Excuse me, please,, More, please?, I don't know,  (Hint: use the translator to find your answers) Put in any spanish picture of your choice.

3. Print your slides. When you have completed your Power Point presentation, ask for assistance to print an outline.

LAS NOTAS

Grading as follows:
20%  information presented is complete and shows evidence of thorough research
20%  all material is free of grammatical and spelling errors
20%  all information is well-organized and in your own voice!!
15%  minimum of 10 slides (one slide with book reference)
10%  notes and printed outline (Must be turned in the day of presentation.)
  5%  one slide is presented en español
10%  presentation style

LA CONCLUSIÓN

Great Job! You have learned more about the Spanish speaking world! After doing this project do you think you would like to travel to a Spanish country? What do you think would be the hardest adjustment? What do you think you would like the most about going to a foreign country?
