Mrs. Brown loves teaching.  Her favorite color is blue and she loves the Harry Potter books.  Her favorite food in the cafeteria is a taco and Math is her favorite subject.  Mrs. Brown gives out rewards for good behavior such as prizes from a prize box, ticket drawings, and extra recess.  Her classroom rule is to listen to everyone, be kind, and treat people the way you want to be treated.  In the second grade, you will learn how to write in cursive and you will have special activities like buddies, Spotlight On, and a second grade play.  Mrs. Brown, would like to say to any new students coming to her class, "Welcome and I'm happy to have you as a new student!"

Welcome Second graders!  My name is Mrs. Curran and my favorite subjects are Writing and Science.  As a reward for good behavior, I give out tickets which students can use to buy prizes. We'll do some really cool science experiments and play lots of Math games.  My most important classroom rule is to listen when someone is speaking.  Teachers need the student's full attention and other students have great ideas that should be heard, too.  Sometimes students make the best teachers! I look forward to meeting all of you and being your second grade teacher!

“My name is Mrs. Hamilton, and I couldn’t be more excited about teaching 2nd grade and being your teacher! I am friendly, organized, fun, eager to learn, and motivating! I have high expectations, and hope that you, too, have a positive attitude towards school. Responsibilities with doing your work, homework, and projects as well as being organized with your papers and belongings are goals to strive for. I love teaching, and I look forward to a great year!”

Welcome Second Graders!  I am Mrs. Johnston and I absolutely love teaching Second grade.  We will learn amazing things like what makes a volcano erupt, how to write poetry, reading from my favorite author, Tomie DePaola and using fractions.  I can’t wait for you to share in our theme days like Johnny Appleseed Day and our Winter Festival.  I think it is very important in second grade to always try your best, share your ideas and be responsible for your work.  I love telling stories about my life and I am looking forward to reading stories about you as well.  What a fantastic year we will have!
