I believe it was Mr. Levine
3. Who was your favorite teacher?/ Who was the teacher that inspired you the most?/ Any special memories of this teacher?
I had Mrs. Gaskill in the third Grade and she helped me master my multiplication facts. She made it fun
4.What time did you go to school?/ What time did you leave school?
I believe I went around 8 A.M. and came back home around 3:15.
5. Did you eat lunch in school?/ Did you get recess? Any special memories?
We ate lunch in the basement and would go out on the blacktop and trade hockey players, trading decals. The decals were placed in booklets (Much like comic books) that had each team and players on specific pages. Another fond memory was my friend Eugene Distafano's grandparents owned the farm that is now Freedom park. We would go to the farmhouse after school and hang out.
6. Did you get homework?/ Did you get a lot of homework?
Not too much homework
7. Did have a teacher for every subject? Any special memories?
Same teacher for all subjects
8. Did you have gym, music, art, or anything else? Any special memories?
My favorite memory of music was the plays that Mrs. Reiley would put on for the parents. One years I was an Indian. Another year I was a narrator. The spelling bee was another fond memory.
9. Were there any sports team for the school?
No just L.Y.A.A. (Lenape Youth Athletic Association). Now it's called M.Y.A.A.
10. Did you enjoy your years at Allen? Any special memories?
I sure did.
