| Mrs. Hawthorne | Mrs. McGinn | Mr. Wilt

Mrs. Hawthorne has been a teacher at Allen School since 1999.  Her favorite book is The Giving Tree.  She is often heard saying, "C'est la vie" or " Do the best you can."  One of her class rules is you must raise your hand before you speak. Her class has buddies with a first grade class and they do many interesting projects in Social Studies.  Her class has many special treats such as tickets, Read-a-thons, parties, and a bean jar as a reward.  Mrs. Hawthorne would like to tell new students that, "Allen School is  wonderful.  Everyone is friendly, hard working, and dedicated.  This school has a charm that no other school has."

Mrs. McGinn is another great fourth grade teacher.  She has been working here since 1988.  She does a lot of fun projects at different times of the year, such as making maps of New Jersey and writing and publishing books.  Her class also has tickets, Read-a-thons, tee-shirt designs, weekly math bees, and student of the week.  She teaches multiplication, division,  regions of the United States, and animal habits with real animals! Her favorite book is Gift of Peace.  She often says, "Dream big dreams-you can do whatever you put your mind to." She would like to say to all new students that you will have a GREAT year!

Mr. Wilt is a relatively new  4th grade teacher at Allen School. His first came to Allen in 2003.  He also does a lot of fun projects in 4th grade throughout the year.  The class earns tickets for good behavior to cash in for prizes and they have two parties during the year.  One party is on Halloween and the other party is on Valentine’s Day.    Mr. Wilt's favorite book is Charlie and the Chocolate Factory which is read for fun in the beginning of the year.  When the class completes the book they have a little special chocolate snack.  Mr. Wilt is a huge Philadelphia sports fan.  Let’s Go Flyers!  Mr. Wilt is really looking forward to meeting the new 4th grade students!
